The clowns and hosts have a night off dinner with Luong Ung, author of First They Killed My Father. It is the story of her and her family's experience under the Red Cambodians at age 5 to 10 years. She is the spokesperson for an international organization dedicated to doing away with land mines and unexploded ordinance. A very inspiring person. The book is highly recommended. She lives in Connecticutt. |

The WInners Podium
Patch presents awards for the winners of a sprint race at the Kien Khleang rehabilitation center. The winner was a sprinter until he lost his leg, and now is able to compete again because of the miracle workers at the center. He has a leg for walking and one for sprinting. He came in first way ahead of a seriously sprinting John who was followed by Kathy and a group of waddling clowns. |

Tough Crowd
The little girl in the forground clung to her caregiver and did not smile for a long time until Steve got her ito play a game of batting the balloon back and forth. She broke into a very satisfying happy smile for rest of the visit. She is one of many children infected with HIV from a mother who got it from a husband who brought it home for the family. She receives medicine and loving care from the Mary Knoll volunteers. |
